Jamaica

Jamaica is a gorgeous Liver Spotted female bred by Fran Matthews of "Paceaway" Dalmatians. She joined Silvafyre Kennels in 2003, and has been a consistent winner ever since, winning Multi Best In Groups and Runner Up Best In Groups. Jamaica became an Australian Champion in May 2004 and her Grand in July 2008.

Jamaica returned to Fran in 2007 to whelp a healthy litter of puppies to Ch Paceaway Kiwi Konexon idd (challenge winner 2008 National). From this Kash (Paceaway Kold Kash) and Posh (Paceaway Kold Komfort) are in the ring.

Jamaica has done particularly well at Dalmatian Specialty shows. Her most impressive wins have been:-

  • Intermediate in Show - 2004 National Dalmatian Show
  • 2nd Aust Breed Class - 2006 National Dalmatian Show
  • 3 rd Open Bitch Class – 2008 National Dalmatian Show
  • Reserve Bitch Challenge and Puppy in Show - The Dalmatian Club of NSW Inc October 2003 Championship Show
  • Opposite Junior in Show - The Dalmatian Club of NSW Inc Easter 2004 Championship Show
  • Intermediate in Show - The Dalmatian Club of NSW Inc August 2004 Open Show

"Superb outline, this young lady had a wonderful demeanour. Beautiful feminine head and good expression, lovely broken ears well set on. Arched neck, clean throat lines down to a quality shoulder placement. Firm & correct topline. Well set on tail. Excellent spotting of a uniform liver colour. Tight elbow, good chest space with depth. Good loin, rounded thigh muscles and well let down stifle without exaggeration. She moved with balance and was harmonious in action. One I am sure with a bright future"

Good lay of shoulders, elbows tight with good rear angulation. Good coat, beautifully spotted. Tight feet. Good mover."

"Good Liver Colour. Liked her hind angulation and use of drive on the move. Good front with legs going straight down to the ground from under her body - shows good shoulder placement. Lovely style that attracts the eye"

1st Intermediate bitch - " A liver Bitch, nice head, nicely marked, very evenly balanced front and rear and moved in a smooth rhythmatic fashion."

Bitch Challenge - " The winner was just overall more soundly balanced front and rear. Nice color and markings - lovely head and good eye shape. Symmetrical in outline with good tail carriage."

Best in Show - "I felt the Bitch challenge winner put her best feet forward. She wanted to win, and displayed a sound, steady gait and really showed herself off. My comments under Challenge Bitch, was why she cemented her win. "
